The schedule for the Mid-Am District Tier 1 Playdowns has been posted on the Mid-Am District website. Here are the Divisions:

Division A
1A – Phantom Fireworks
2A – Pittsburgh Jr. Pens
3A – Cleveland Barons
4A – Culver Military Academy

Division B
5B – Ohio Blue Jackets
6B – Pittsburgh Hornets
7B – Pittsburgh Viper Stars
8B – Team Ohio

A practice has been added for Sunday, January 24, 2010, from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Ice Zone.

Practices Cancelled

The practices, dry land, martial arts, and parents meeting scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, January 19 and 20, have been cancelled due to goaltender injuries and high school mid-terms. The parents meeting has been rescheduled to next Wednesday, January 27, at 6:30 PM.

When I asked the players to identify their favorite website, many of them responded Hockey Monkey or Goalie Monkey. And when I asked the players to identify their favorite hockey brand, both goalies said Vaughn and almost all of the other players said Bauer. If you think it is fun to explore the websites of equipment manufacturers and retailers, you should check out the ice hockey equipment links on Sharkspage. Although some of the links are dead, it has links to lots of manufacturers and retailers that I had no idea even existed. It also has links to repairers, mask painters, and miscellaneous hockey sites like Backyard Rinks, Boni puck shooting machines and synthetic ice, etc. If you like checking out hockey equipment, Sharkspage is a great place to start.

Welcome to the Blog of the U16 Phantom Fireworks AAA Hockey Team. I know it’s late in the season to get started, but there’s still lots of hockey to play and news to share.
